:: How to Enter & General Information

Each race can be entered via email the Sunday prior to the race or on the night. If you are entering by email please try to book as far in advance as possible as slots fill up quickly. You may not receive a response to your request due to email volume. Check the electronic start sheet to ensure your name appears and again the Monday prior to the race as your starting slot may have moved. The electronic sheets are available online a week ahead of time.

On the Tuesday night report to race HQ at least 30 minutes before your start time to register, pay, get your number pinned on and allow 10-15 minutes to cycle to the start and warm up.

Parking can be limited please be considerate and don’t block others in. If you are parking on the street please respect residence drive ways.

Remember to return your race number once you have finished.

Details of each race and email entry information can be found on the Events and Entry page.  For the latest news and event updates see the Evening League Facebook page.

:: Helpers

As always, these events only succeed with the goodwill of members and friends. Marshals, timekeepers, recorders and other officials are all needed at each event. It is the rule that if you want to ride the league then you must also give a little time to help out. Remember that the event doesn’t succeed without your help and if we don’t have enough folk on the night then the event will not go ahead.

:: Experience

The league could be your opportunity to gain experience in various fields of our sport. Not only can you improve your competition but you can also train as a timekeeper. If this interests you please let Kevin know on helpersel@deeside.org.

:: Cost

To enter the series of 13 events costs £20 per person, or £4 per event. Fees can be paid by cash or cheque on the night at sign on.

:: Points

Each event riders are allocated points depending on their finishing position. Points are awarded as follows:

1st 80pts 1st h’cap 80pts
2nd 79pts 2nd h’cap 79pts

80th 1pt 80th h’cap 1pt

The combined total of Fastest and Handicap Points, as above, will be each Member’s score for that event. The best six combined scores are added to give the Member’s total score.

The Evening League Champion is the Member with the largest number of points obtained in the events for the current season.
