The Deeside Thistle Cycling Club aims to cater for cyclists from Youth (under 16s) to Veterans and all standards from Novice to Expert. All interests are supported from road-racing, time-trialling, track, mountain-biking, cyclocross and touring.
Deeside Thistle operate regular club runs and other activities throughout the year. Hosting Scottish Cycling Events, Local Road Races and others including Webinars with personnel from the cycling world.
Club runs, especially the managed ones, ensure that newcomers and the less fit, are introduced gradually. Indeed, some runs are specifically organised with these riders in mind, keeping speed and distance down.
A comprehensive racing programme, often including National Championships, is promoted annually, including a series of short distance events confined to members and which may be used as an introduction to Open competition.
When enrolling in the club there is an expectation that practical support will be given to assist at events.

Volunteering for your cycling club can take many forms. From marshalling at a Deeside Thistle hosted cycling event, organising a local cycling race, first aiding, assisting youth or taking on a committee role to name a few.
